I am happy to welcome you all to our institution, Maharaja Srischandra College. We are glad that you have chosen our institution and hope that our guidance will help you not only in your academic pursuits but also to forge ahead in life as responsible and sensitive human beings. The College has an old history of imparting education since 1961, when it was opened as an evening section of the parent institution, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College. But gradually it showed excellence and became independent, and emerged as a separate institution in 1964. Located in the northern heart of the city in Shyambazar, the College draws students from far and wide. The College boasts of Commerce, Humanities as well as Science streams in both Honours and General courses. Duly assisted by highly qualified faculty members and an efficient office staff, along with the Students' Union, a student can seek help from any quarter if need be. Apart from the academic curricula, our students take part in various co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS, sports and cultural programmes with lot of enthusiasm.
